Limiting a limitless God-7
Limiting a limitless God-7
Psalms 78:41 “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.”
…From yesterday…
Mark 6:5 “And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed [them].”
The issue is this, Jesus was God Almighty when he was here but he was limited by his own people. Does Jesus hate his own folks? Was his ministry meant only for outsiders? Did he lose his anointing at home?
The answer is NO. He simply could not do mighty works there because they limited him! His very own people made it practically impossible for Jesus to help them.
You may say those folks don’t know Jesus and the power he carried and wonder at their lack of knowledge, but truth be said; we are all guilty of the same attitude and offence. How do I know?
John 14:23 “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”
1 Corinthians 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
Jesus is living and breathing in us, he has made our bodies his place of residence. As a born again child of God, we house and host Him but the issue is; there seems to be no significant difference in many people’s lives. Is it that God is no longer powerful or awesome?
Is it that the one who raised the dead can’t do same in our days? Can’t God still cause blind eyes to open and make the lame walk? What happened to all those miracles of old? Is God not as potent now as he was in those days? Are bible stories mere stories or possibilities in our own lives?
If all those things are true and are still possible in our days, why are we not seeing much? The answer is not far fetched; we have simply limited the Limitless One!
To be continued…
