Limiting a limitless God-6

Limiting a limitless God-6
Psalms 78:41 “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.”

…From yesterday…

Numbers 14:28 “Say unto them, [As truly as] I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:”

They said God is not able to give them Canaan and surely they all perished. The question is, Can God take them to the Promised Land and conquer it for them? It’s a BIG YES!

God “can do” it but God “could not do” it because they limited Him. Where you stop is where God stops!

If you say He has gotten you married but cannot give you a child, so be it. If you say, He cannot get you a job after university, so be it! Whatever you say to Him is what He does! You must be very careful of your utterances around God because you will always have what you say!

Now, let’s consider another set of folks who limited God:

Mark 6:1 “And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.”

Mark 6:5 “And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed [them].”

Interesting scripture. Jesus got to his own country and couldn’t do mighty works. That doesn’t sound correct. If you and I were Jesus, I am so sure where we would love to do the best of our miracles will be in our own home or country because we naturally love our own people.

In the same way, if Jesus was to do mighty works I think he would love it to be in his own country for his own people. Afterall we say, “Charity begins at home”. As a matter of fact, if I was in Jesus’ position, most of my mighty work would be done in my home country and for my people.

I will specially reserve some miracles for them. This is because Jesus grew up with them, he knew who needs what. He can visit them house to house and give it to them.

To be continued…
