Limiting a limitless God-4

Limiting a limitless God-4
Psalms 78:41 “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.”

…From yesterday…

Numbers 14:2 “All the People of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron. The entire community was in on it: “Why didn’t we die in Egypt? Or in this wilderness?”

Numbers 14:3 “Why has GOD brought us to this country to kill us? Our wives and children are about to become plunder. Why don’t we just head back to Egypt? And right now!””(MSG)

Can you imagine that? Just because they have no meat, God has suddenly become incapacitated! They switched over to grumbling. All of a sudden the God that brought them out of Egypt with such great and mighty acts doesn’t know how to take care of them again.

They limited a Limitless God just because their current circumstances doesn’t seem to conform with their expectations. It’s very easy to blame them for blaming God as we read their stories but unfortunately many people in our days do same to this same God. Remember, God does not change, it is men that have been changing from generation to generation, but unfortunately we seem not to be learning from the experiences of the past.

You see a woman that was told will never marry, go to church to fast and pray. She fasted and prayed to counter that evil pronouncement and God moved in and organized a glorious wedding for her. People gathered and rejoiced with her and suddenly after six months of getting married, she is yet to conceive; she turned to the same God saying, “Why did you allow me get married when you know you won’t give me a child? Why didn’t you leave me single”.

You see a student who came from a poor background getting enrolled in university and finishing as the first graduate from his father’s house. He finished and after barely two years of graduation, he is yet to get a good job and he starts blaming God.

To be continued…
