Don’t settle in haran-13
Don’t settle in haran-13
Genesis 11:31 “And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram’s wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.”
Genesis 11:32 “And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.”
…From yesterday…
Mark 2:4 “And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was and when they had broken it up they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay”
These four men had a common friend that was sick. They knew if only they could get him to Jesus, his problems will be solved. On that faithful day, they carried their friend to the house where Jesus was holding a meeting, but on getting there they could not enter because of the crowd.
I guess if it was you and I, we would easily conclude that we’ve done our best but unfortunately it seems our best was not good enough, so we quit. Don’t be surprised that they had even booked an appointment with Jesus before that day only for them to get there to see the multitude and knew it was almost impossible for them to see Jesus; who in this case is their Canaan.
Many would have turned back, accept the problem as their fate and live with it, thereby dwelling in Haran but not these folks. They simply climbed the roof of the house, removed the roof members and created enough space to let down their sick friend,
Beloved, how dogged and determined are you to get to Cannan? How far are you ready to pursue your vision? You must know that pursuit is the proof of desire.
Are you ready to take off the roof of any building if need be in other to get your desired Canaan? It’s time to get reinvigorated and passionate about what you want.
To be continued…
Love you BiG
