Don’t settle in haran-9

Genesis 11:31 “And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram’s wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.”

Genesis 11:32 “And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.”

…From yesterday…

Friend, what are the demands of your vision? What restrictions must your vision place on you? Do you know them? Are you conscious of them?

Samuel and Samson were both great prophets with great destinies. Their visions demand that they do not cut the hair on their heads. That was one of the demands or restrictions placed on them. Samuel followed it diligently while Samson violated it, the rest as they say is history.

You must also know that there are things you cannot do because of your vision. As a matter of fact there are friends you cannot keep. You must know the demands of your vision.

Let’s take another look at this verse:

Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish but he that keepeth the law, happy is he”

The concluding part of the sentence says “…he that keepeth the law, happy is he”.

The implication of that statement is that the man that will be happy in life is going to be one who knows and keeps the law or carefully observes the demands of his vision!

2) Vision forces you to do certain things. When you’re conscious of vision, it helps you to know the things you must do daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and seasonally.

There are things that must be included in your life as a matter of necessity. You must know what your vision requires and feeds on and give it your best shot. Hear this:

Matthew 14:23 “And when he had sent the multitudes away he went up into a mountain apart to pray and when the evening was come he was there alone.”
