Don’t settle in haran-5
Genesis 11:31 “And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram’s wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.”
Genesis 11:32 “And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.”
As a marketer, do you have the number of customers you envisioned? Are your products in the cities and locations you want them to be?
Friend, you can blame Terah all your want, but some of us are committing worse crimes. Many have forgotten their 2018 new year resolutions, not to talk of their last year dreams, goals and aspirations.
Many have settled in Haran, living there and have forgotten about Canaan completely. Can you evaluate your life and find out if you’re living like a Terah, marking time in Haran. Why are you parked in Haran?
The Hebrew word Haran means; to become dry, to burn, a mountain or obstacle. Haran is a very bad place to be. People become dry and burn out in Haran. When you arrive Haran fresh, with time you become dry and exhausted.
Haran also means a mountain or obstacle. Another reason most people pack up in Haran is simply because it represents difficulty. They see Haran as an insurmountable challenge. A mountain too high to climb.
I’ve met people in life who have gotten so used to their problems that they live comfortably with them. They have lost the will power to confront them.
I’ve seen some impoverished people who have come to the conclusion that God is no longer interested in their case. Beloved, don’t accept a negative status quo.
What ever is in your life that is contrary to heaven can be changed by God. Rise up and fight the spirit of Haran. Confront it with the mandate of heaven and the integrity of the word of God.
To be continued…
