Divine assistance-11

Exodus 2:18 “And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How [is it that] ye are come so soon to day?”

…From yesterday…

We must not roundup this meditation without discussing something equally important as regards the well. I want you to know that the devil will always contend with you by the well. He will fight you sore by the well!

Exodus 2:16 “Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew [water], and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.”

Exodus 2:17 “And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.”

Friend, the battle you’ll face as a believer will be more about the well. Those other shepherds came and drove the daughters of Reuel away from the well because they know if they stayed by the well fetching from it, they will receive divine assistance.

The Bible calls them shepherd to let you know that some so called pastors will not even allow you settle down by the well. A lot of pastors nowadays don’t even recognise the power of the well. They no longer feed the sheep neither have respect for the things of the Spirit. But thank God for shepherds like Moses who still want you to draw from the well of life. 

Those shepherds fought the daughters of Reuel because of the well and I want you to know he will fight you because of the well too. One thing the devil want to do to a believer is to keep him away from the well. That’s why you see believers finding it difficult to study the word, mediate on it and be led by the Spirit. It is all a battle by the well!

Mark 4:15 “And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan COMETH IMMEDIATELY, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.”

Now you understand why Satan came immediately the word was sown.
