Divine assistance-9
Exodus 2:18 “And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How [is it that] ye are come so soon to day?”
…From yesterday…
Well or water also represents the Spirt of God and his operations.
John 7:37 “In the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”
John 7:38 “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
John 7:39 “(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet [given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”
Water also represent salvation:
Isaiah 12:3 “Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.”
John 4:14 “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
Putting the three together, we can say this about the well: To sit by the well means you become born again (Salvation), meditate on the word of God and operates by the Spirit of God!
Applying it to Moses sitting by the well can be interpreted to mean: Moses became born again, he started meditating on the word of God and began to be led by the Holy Spirit.
Friend, to enjoy divine assistance, you need to fall in love with the well. You start by getting born again, then feeding on the word of God and learning how to be led by the Spirit of God. To acquaint yourself with the word of God is not an option for the believer.
The more you sit by the well the more you receive divine assistance. Look at this instance:
Genesis 24:13 “Behold, I stand [here] by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water:”
