Divine assistance-8

Exodus 2:18 “And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How [is it that] ye are come so soon to day?”

…From yesterday…

1 Kings 17:13 “And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go [and] do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring [it] unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.”

It looked as though the prophet was wicked and inconsiderate but the lesson is this; receiving divine assistance could sometimes take you through a difficult route of inconveniences and strict adherence to instructions.

I know you’re praying hard for God to send you the kind of help only He can send, but can you obey Him to the letter? How long are you ready to travel and stick with God till He sends you help?

Moses needed divine assistance himself, but he helped the daughters of Reuel first, little did he know that the help he rendered was about to give him a house, a home (family), an accommodation, a spiritual father, an occupation and above all a leap into his God ordained destiny!

One other thing I want us to see is this; Moses received divine help by the well.

Exodus 2:15 “Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.”

The divine help of Moses came when he decided to sit down by the well. Friend, if you want divine help, you’ll need to sit by the well as well.

In the bible, “well or water” represents the word of God.

Ephesians 5:26 “That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,”

Well or water also represents the Spirt of God and his operations.

John 7:37 “In the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”

To be continued…
