​To the Glory of God-1

John 9:2 “And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?”

John 9:3 “Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.”

Friend, one thing that intrigued me about the healing of this man was the answer of Jesus. He didn’t follow the angle and the line of thought of his disciples, he said something totally different that changed the perspective and analysis of men.

Jesus told them that it is not about sin, it’s about God’s glory! Hear this:

John 9:3 “Jesus said, “You’re asking the wrong question. You’re looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do.”

Jesus was simply telling them to stop asking baseless questions. God is sovereign and superior, and if there is something he desires more than all else, it is glory. He loves to be praised and glorified. He loves his works to be made manifest in our lives.

He just loves and enjoys praise. Every opportunity to glorify himself in our lives, he uses. No wonder he said:

Ephesians 5:20 “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”

Ephesians 5:20 “Sing praises over everything, any excuse for a song to God the Father in the name of our Master, Jesus Christ.” (MSG)

Friend, that your condition is just an opportunity God has been waiting for, to glorify himself. That stubborn issue is a pointer to the fact that God want to do something spectacular for you.

Where sons of men are looking for sin, God is looking for glory! If this blind folk had understood this principle, he would have received his sight long ago. I want to believe, he must have been told that his condition is permanent because of his sin and that of his parents.
