Luke 2:7 “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”

…From yesterday…

John 19:24 “They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be…”

I just love Jesus! He is a man with class and panache! He was wrapped with swaddling clothes when he was born but he died wearing designer clothes! The seamless clothes which the soldiers cast lot for was one of the most expensive clothes or designers in his days. 

Soldiers were the richest men in his days and if a soldier is casting lot over somebody’s clothe, that should give you an idea of the value of such clothes. 

Friend, you can change your raiment. Men may have wrapped you swaddling clothes, you owe yourself a duty to change it. Don’t remain at your background, grow up and change your life. 

Jacob gave his son a clothe of many colours, his brothers out of envy took it off and sold him to slavery. Joseph kept at his dream and used his talent until he was finally clothed by Pharaoh. The correct usage of your gifts can buy you the best clothes there is. 

Another thing I saw here was that his parents gave birth to him in the manger because there was no room in the inn. Friend, men may not give you room but you can create one for yourself.

Proverbs 18:16 “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”

The power to create room lies within you! There was no room for Christ at birth, but he created room for himself and others at the best resorts of his days.

Mark 14:15 “And he will shew you a large upper room furnished [and] prepared: there make ready for us.”

Don’t ever let the condition of your birth stop you from being great! Your background must not keep your back on the ground, Selah!
