My Christmas notes- Your destiny is bigger than your birth-5
Matt. 2: 1 “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,”
Luke 2:7 “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”
Jesus used a prophetic gift to answer him. Friend, you also have gifts on your inside. Hear this:
Ephesians 4:8 “Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.”
Beloved, it’s high time you unleash your potentials. Jesus used his gifts to prove naysayers wrong, he want us to do same, so he gave us gifts when he was leaving. The extent to which you use your gifts determines the manifestation of the greatness you will see.
I saw two other things in Luke 2:7; “…wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”
They wrapped him in swaddling clothes. Swaddling clothes are cheap clothes used in those days to wrap children. These clothes are cheap and easily available, as a result, they’re not used by the rich and mighty.
Friend, maybe you were also wrapped in swaddling clothes or no clothes at all when you were born, I have news for you. Don’t grow up in those clothes, you can change them. Perhaps you were not born with a silver spoon, well, Jesus was born without a spoon.
But, guess what?
John 19:23 “Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also [his] coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.”
John 19:24 “They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled…”
To be continued…
