My Christmas notes- Your destiny is bigger than your birth-3
Matt. 2: 1 “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,”
Luke 2:7 “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”
The world has forgotten about how many of the great men and women where born, the only thing they talk about is how great they have become. This shows that truly people don’t care about your birth, they are more interested in what you’ve become.
Friend, where you’re born is not as important as the glorious future ahead of you.
The Holy Spirit gave me an idea while I was meditating on this subject. Here is what He showed me:
a) That you’re born in Bethlehem doesn’t mean you should die there.
b) If you decide to remain in Bethlehem then turn it to Jerusalem!
Those are words on marble for me. Come to think of it, Jesus never left the Israeli axis during his entire life and there is no continent on earth where we don’t mention his name!
Jesus brought the whole world to Bethlehem. The question is, how did he do it?
John 1:44 “Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.”
John 1:45 “Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
John 1:46 “And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.”
Philip found Nathanael and told him about Jesus who is a prophet but located in Bethlehem and Nazareth (where he grew up). Nathanael made perhaps the same statement that is being made to you today:
John 1:46 “And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?…”
To be continued…
