My Christmas notes- Your destiny is bigger than your birth-2

Matt. 2: 1 “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,”

Luke 2:7 “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”

…From yesterday…

As a pastor, I have heard course to listen to people and counsel them and one thing that is prominent among people especially those that have challenges is that they trace all the problems of their life to their background. I’m sure if we’re all given a choice of where to be born many will not choose the place they were born.

People will choose “great” places and palaces of kings and the houses of the so called rich, wealthy and powerful. I’m sure Bethlehem won’t show up on the list of places where people want to be born.

But against popular opinion, God the creator of heaven and earth who knew and created the choicest places on earth chose Bethlehem. He knew the palaces of the great and mighty because He created them all but yet chose a lowly village.

The gist is this; He did it because of you and I. He did it to let us know that the circumstances of our birth does not have to determine our future. Our destinies are greater than our birth.

That you’re born out of wedlock or called an illegitimate child makes no difference to what you should become. Your background shouldn’t keep your back on the ground.

You can rise from the debris of your negative birth circumstances  like a giant edifice. You can become the rich and mighty, starting from any location. It is not how you’re born, it is how you end that matters.

God wrote a wonderful script about your life and He want you to end on a high. Don’t stay in the region of mediocrity.

To be continued…

Love you BiG
