My Christmas notes- God has an Egypt-1

Matthew 2:13 “And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.’

Matthew 2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

Friend, God has a protection policy in place to take care of you. He can’t invest so much in you and allow the enemy take you out cheaply.

God knows about Herod and he knows how to hide you from his wicked plots and traps. But beloved, you must allow Him hide you. When I was reading this story I asked myself, that if God says I should go hide in Egypt would I have gone?

My honest answer was I don’t think so! What came to my mind was all the terrible things that happened in Egypt. The progenitors of Jesus went to Egypt for a brief stay and that brief stay became four hundred and thirty years!

Not only that it took them another forty years to return. As a matter of fact God had to literally come down before they could come out. So I feel I should just save myself and God all that stress!

Friend, God is our hiding place:

Psalms 32:7 “Thou [art] my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.”

As you journey through 2018, you must trust God to hide you. If He chose Egypt you must follow Him. He knows where to keep you per time.

In Egypt years back, Pharaoh was busy killing all the male children immediately they were born. The Egyptian army were busy going round every three months to pick the newly born male children and kill. The enemy gave this command to Pharaoh just because of one boy, Moses!

So God decided to hide Moses and guess where He hid him?

To be continued…
