​My Christmas notes- Herod can’t stop me

Matthew 2:1 “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,”

Matthew 2:2 “Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.”

Matthew 2:3 “When Herod the king had heard [these things], he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.”

Friend, the Herods of this world can’t stop the birthing of my star. That’s another great truth I wrote in my notes. Herod is too small to stop us. 

As surely as the Lord lives, no “Herod” can stop you, no power in hell can halt your movement in destiny. That Herod is on the throne shouldn’t threaten us. 

I read in Bible history that this particular Herod was one of the meanest man that ever lived. He was brave and skilled in war, learned and sagacious but also very suspicious and cruel.

He was said to have destroyed the entire royal family of Hasmonaeans, put to death many Jews that opposed his government, and proceeded to kill even his “dearly beloved wife Mariamne’ of the Hasmonaean line and his two sons she had borne him. That was how wicked he was but guess what? Jesus was borne as a king in his domain.

Friend, there might be an Herod on the throne presently but you will emerge. He might be killing others but he won’t see you! You’re too protected to become his victim.

When and where you’re born might be scary. Your office and business environment might be frightening and intimidating but your star will shine and men will come to pay homage.

I’ve seen people dole out threats and tried to stop others but failed woefully. Don’t let humans stop you and don’t stand as a stumbling block on the path of another man,

Herod did all he could to stop Jesus but he eventually lost his own live. Don’t fear the Herods of this world, you will shine despite their anger and threats!
