My Christmas notes- Christ came because of me-1
Luke 2:11 “For unto YOU is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
The bible says, “For unto you (put your name there) is born this day in the city of David a Saviour…”.
Friend, this is one of the most intriguing statements in the Bible: God left heaven because of ME! The Creator left heaven because of a creature. What a privilege!
I am the reason for his coming not even you! This is a truth you must know and make yours.
I wrote down in my note that: I needed a saviour from sin, sickness, poverty, limitations, disasters, intimidation, fear, deprivations, demonic oppressions, falsehood, career stagnation and the like. God saw it in heaven and came down to rescue me!
Many believers say that Christ is the reason for the season, which is true but another truth is that I am the reason. If I don’t need saving Christ wouldn’t have left heaven! It means God valued me so much that “Unto me a Saviour was born…”.
He didn’t say “…unto them” (plural) but “…unto you” (singular). If you were the only one on earth Christ would have still been born. The Saviour came because of you. This is something you must allow to sink into your inner being.
His coming is a personal affair not a collective stuff. Before the birth of Christ can make meaning in your life, you must recognise and accept it,
Why did God make it personal? He did it that way so that people who are stronger, more prominent, more influential, richer and superior to you will not monopolise Him.
If Christ was born unto them, for example in the palace of a king, we will all be in trouble if that king decides to set up terms for seeing him.
The salvation process will be an exclusive right of the rich and famous. How do you think salvation would have ever gotten to you? How much can you pay “them” to avoid hell?
To be continued…
