​Valley of decision: The finisher-5

Joel 3:14 “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD [is] near in the valley of decision.”

…From yesterday…

Friend, when you don’t finish, you become an object of ridicule. Don’t be a man who starts by laying foundations and abandoned it. Many people’s life is like that, their lives are filled with several abandoned projects. 

I’ve seen men who started school but didn’t finish. Started learning a trade and abandoned it. He started learning a second trade and abandoned that as well. 

This folk always seem to have a “genuine excuse” for quitting each time, but as we saw from the life of Saul, no excuse is genuine enough to stop you. 

Look at how God describe Himself:

Revelation 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 1:8 “The Master declares, “I’m A to Z. I’m THE GOD WHO IS, THE GOD WHO WAS, AND THE GOD ABOUT TO ARRIVE. I’m the Sovereign-Strong.”” (MSG)

God calls Himself the Alpha and Omega, Beginning and the End. In order words, God calls Himself a starter and a finisher. He doesn’t quit, He doesn’t back out, He completes whatever He starts.

Friend, make a decision to be a finisher. Enough of backing out and backing down from challenges. Quitting should never be an option in your life. 

Guess one other thing I love about finishing:

Ecclesiastes 7:8 “Better [is] the end of a thing than the beginning thereof:”

Ecclesiastes 7:8 “Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out.”(MSG)

Finishing is always better than starting! The celebration always comes when you’ve breasted the tape. One thing I can tell you is that when you finish a task, there is a joy and sense of fulfilment which cannot be quantified. 

I pray for you today, “May the finisher’s grace, the Omega anointing, rest upon you from today”, Amen.
