Valley of decision: The finisher-1
Joel 3:14 “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD [is] near in the valley of decision.”
Friend, another decision you must make is to become a finisher. One reason why many people remain in the valley with the multitude is that they are not ready for the long haul. Many count the cost of their journey in life and wonder if they could go all the way.
They tell you that the journey is too far before starting. That’s a defeatist mindset, They seem comfortable taking it easy and moving with the crowd. They easily turn back with every little challenge, complaining about things being too hard and difficult.
Friend, if there is any decision you must make, it is to become a finisher or a completer. Don’t start anything because you’re looking for “what to do for now” or just to while away time.
Develop a permanence mindset. Make up your mind from kickoff to finish and finish strong. Prizes are not giving in the middle of the race, they are only awarded at the finishing point. Your destiny is a full time job and quitters are not celebrated in the race of life.
Friend, on the road of destiny you might sometimes have to practically walk on broken bottles without shoes or protection. Sometimes you might be bleeding but despite all GO THROUGH!
I’ve read a bit of history and is yet to meet a successful quitter. Every man or woman tagged successful finished their course in life and destiny. They went through despite all the challenges, suggestions and temptations to quit.
Beloved, it is a tragedy to pack up in the middle of the road. Hear Jesus:
John 19:30 “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”
Jesus said, “It is finished”, he didn’t say “I am finished”. I saw a great lesson there. A man that finishes his assignment never finishes.
