​Valley of decision-2​

Joel 3:14 “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD [is] near in the valley of decision.”

…From yesterday…

Men and women who are making head way in life are those who have by reason of quality decisions separate themselves from the multitudes that are at the valley of indecision. You can be at the valley and be comfortable among the multitude but rising to the pinnacle of success requires quality decisions.

Many people are comfortable among the multitude because they have a false sense of security. Beloved, if you must rise above the multitude then you must be ready to do what the multitude won’t do which is to make decisions that takes a man up. 

You don’t get to the pinnacle of a mountain by accident, you deliberately choose to go there and put in the required effort.

Decisions means the firmness of conviction. A rugged determination to do something. A conclusion or resolution reached after careful consideration of several options.

Decision-making is also regarded as the cognitive process resulting in the selection of a belief or a course of action among several alternative possibilities (Wikipedia). 

Every decision-making process produces a final choice, which may or may not prompt action, it simply means lack of decision is in itself a decision!

Making decisions is the process of identifying and choosing alternatives based on the values, preferences and beliefs of the decision-maker.

The key to making quality decisions are the values we have. If our value system is weak, our decisions will be weak. Hear this:

Daniel 1:8 “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”
