Prayer lesson from Rachel: Divine intervention-3
Genesis 30:22 “And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.”
Genesis 30:23 “Finally, God remembered Rachel–he answered her prayer by giving her a son. “God has taken away my disgrace,” she said.” (CEV)
Friend, why do you go to church and not trust the One you’ve gone to meet? Why not talk to Him?
Why claim to know God and read “Our Father who hath in heaven” on Sunday and live the remaining days of the week like an orphan? Are you not tired of running on the energy of the flesh?
Why not change strategy and handover to HIM completely. Hear Him:
1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:7 “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.” (AMP)
What a loving Father. If God is truly your Father, then you must behave like a son.
Taking another look at our focal scripture, it says, “…God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.” In order words God listened to her. Friend, don’t let prayer be your last point of call, make it your first option. When prayer becomes your first option, other things will easily fall in place.
We receive direction at the place of prayer and direction is far more important than speed. Don’t run off with speed only to discover you’re headed to the wrong destination. Don’t let the journey of one year become a ten or even twenty years issue.
Rachel gave birth to her first child after Leah has had seven! Every time you don’t consult God on time, you lose ground.
Finally, God heard her and opened her womb. I pray for you that as you call upon God this morning, everything that has been shut against you will open in Jesus name.
Every limitation over your life is removed in Jesus name. It’s a new day for you, Amen!
