​Prayer lesson from Rachel: The Alternative-4

Genesis 30:22 “And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.”

Genesis 30:23 “Finally, God remembered Rachel–he answered her prayer by giving her a son. “God has taken away my disgrace,” she said.” (CEV)

…From yesterday…

Here is something you must know; the strategy of the devil has not changed. He is still a master in the art of giving men alternatives. If he can attempt to use it against Jesus, nobody is spared:

Luke 4:5 “And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.” 

Luke 4:6 “And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.”

Luke 4:7 “If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.”

Can you imagine the offer he gave to Jesus? Remember Jesus was hundred percent man and hundred percent God yet he offered him alternatives. The devil simply told God to worship him. It looked harmless but if Christ had bowed; your guess is as good as mine, the whole world would have been doomed forever. Beloved, if God can be offered alternatives, so can you!

The devil will always want to give you what God has promised you through a back door. He will offer a seemingly easy route to what you want, but of course it’s a dangerous trap.

When you accept the devils alternative, you end up trading your soul, sacrificing your freedom, sowing seeds of sorrow into your future and getting a death sentence. 

The devil is trying to populate Hell and will stop at nothing in recruiting as many people as possible, don’t be his victim. There is nothing easy and free in Freetown. The devils tradeoff are always deadly.

Friend, when you don’t get what you want don’t go for alternatives, pray and hold on, God will come through for you.
