Timnath: Kill the lion-2

Timnath: Kill the lion-2

Judges 14:5 “Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.”

Judges 14:6 “And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and [he had] nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.”

The devil operates as a roaring lion, he is not a lion. Beloved, I am glad to let you know that what you have been running away from all along has been a “toy lion”.

The word “young” as used to describe the lion sent against Samson means placate, subdued, inexperienced, covered up, in order words fake.

The devils young lion is a fake imitation of the real lion. It is highly inexperienced and already subdued.

The enemy has used his toy lion to stop so many and the strategy has not changed. He is still doing same today, how sad.

When the devil sends sickness against you and the doctors give you a prognosis of death, that is a fake lion. That man in your office said over his dead body before you’re promoted, that is a fake lion. That long awaited miracle that keeps eluding you could be due to a fake lion.

The lions preventing us from our Timnath could show up in different forms and we must recognise them and stop them before they stop us.

So how do I stop them? We stop them the same way Samson did; by killing them. Samson tore or rent the lion as he would rent a kid.

The way he dealt with the lion shows us that what we have been fearing most times is not worth it. Samson was able to do this because there was something special on him. What was on him was the Spirit of the LORD.

We said the young lion was a fake, the Spirit on Samson was the real deal. The Spirit on Samson was the real lion.

To be continued…

Love you BiG
