Psalms 23: The oil and the cup-2

Psalms 23: The oil and the cup-2

Psalms 23:5 “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: THOU ANOINTEST MY HEAD WITH OIL; MY CUP RUNNETH OVER.”

…From yesterday…

The anointing we receive is what makes us thick and mysterious. It is what makes us obtain results where others struggle and fail.

The oil on our head must touch our cup. The cup here depicts our source of livelihood, career, family, business, academics, relationships and so on.

If our cup is dry, our life will generally be dry and empty. Many lives are dry because they simply don’t understand this powerful principle which David carefully explained in this Psalm.

Friend, the oil on your head is spiritual while the cup in your hand is physical. The anointing on your head is the spiritual empowerment that should determine the success of the practical and physical side of your life.

It is an aberration for you to be anointed yet struggling in life and destiny. King Solomon was anointed with wisdom and he became the wealthiest man to ever live. The anointing upon him filled his cup.

You cannot claim to be a believer and you’re begging bread. Everything we see in the physical is a result of activities in the realm of the spirit. The spiritual controls the physical.

2 Corinthians 4:18 “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.”

The spiritual is stronger than the physical. The anointing of God was upon the children of Israel and for forty long years in the wilderness, they lacked nothing.

Friend, place a demand on the oil upon your head in the place of prayer. Pray that the oil will fill your cup afresh, affect your cup, change your character and prosper you.

The anointing came upon Elijah and it put speed under his feet such that he out ran the chariots of Ahab.

The oil can do much more for you,
