Psalm 23: Dark places-2

Psalm 23: Dark places-2

Psalms 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

…From yesterday…

He has the map and knows his way around the valley of the shadow of death.

The devil is the custodian of the dark valley of death but our Shepherd sees even in the darkest of places.

Beloved, there is nothing the devil can throw at us that is strange to our shepherd. He knows the devil too well.

One of my greatest discoveries and excitement while studying this powerful Psalm is that; Our Shepherd knows all about the valley of the shadow of death because he has been there before!

Hear this:

Revelation 1:18 “I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

Revelation 1:18 “I’m Alive. I died, but I came to life, and my life is now forever. See these keys in my hand? They open and lock Death’s doors, they open and lock Hell’s gates.”(MSG)

As a matter of fact he spent three days there and collected the keys to all the rooms there from the devil, hallelujah! Nothing in the valley of the shadow of death is a secret to him any longer; why won’t you team up with this great Shepherd?

Beloved, darkness has lost it’s hold on him, so also on you and I. What is that challenge ahead of you that looks like passing through the valley of the shadow of death? You need not be afraid because the one with the map is with you.

Don’t let the devil paralyse you with fear, the presence of our shepherd has paralysed the devil before your arrival.

Psalms 23:4 “I may walk through valleys  as dark as death…” (CEV)

Face the future with this knowledge and let your mind be at rest. You cannot avoid the valleys but don’t travel it without your tour guide; Jesus the great Shepherd!
