Psalms 23: His name’s sake-4

Psalms 23:3 “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS NAME’S SAKE.”

…From yesterday…

The guy figured he tried most other things so he might as well give this a shot even though there was no way this old guy could know more about this car than him. So he adjusted the part, got in the car and sure enough, the engine cranked to life.

He was surprised and asked the old man, “How did you know what to do?”  The old man said, “My name is Henry Ford and I invented this car.”

The issue with many of us is that we thought we know how to fix everything that has gone wrong or going wrong in our lives. Many hangout with friends and pick advise from both the wise and foolish. Many talk to others and everybody around them about their problem except God.

Friend, God is the Master Fixer because he designed our lives and knows every detail and he is ever ready to fix things up if and only if we will allow him.

He want to show his glory through us, he want to display his splendor through us and for his name’s sake.

1 Samuel 12:22 “For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.”

Our Great Shepherd will not forsake us for His name sake and what’s more? It has pleased him to make us his people and placed his name on us. He is so sure of his product that’s why he put his name and reputation at stake. Hear this:

Job 1:8 “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?”

God was so sure of Job, his product, that he dared the devil. God will do whatever needs to be done for you and I for his name sake. If he can die for us, what will he not do?

Beloved, for God’s sake, let God fix you for his name’s sake!
