Psalms 23: His name’s sake-2

Psalms 23: His name’s sake-2

Psalms 23:3 “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS NAME’S SAKE.”

…From yesterday…

I believe that with the whole of my being. Beloved, God took time to put you and I together with great precision and accuracy, he cannot afford to allow us malfunction.

The word reputation simply means what somebody is known for. As a matter of fact, “reputation” is a synonym of the word “name” in the English language.

We are not in doubt of the reputation of God; he is success personified, he is great, glorious, awesome, unconquerable, inexhaustible, impartial, trustworthy, saviour and deliverer, the list continues.

If all these are his name or reputation, it simply means if we are connected to him, all these must be seen in our lives. These are the signs that must follow us. How comforting that is.

I just love this Great Shepherd. He puts is integrity at stake in leading us. Hear this:

Numbers 6:27 “And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.”

Why will he wants us blessed, wealthy, successful, free, healed, sound in mind and body, comfortable and at peace? The answer is simple; FOR HIS NAME SAKE.

God puts his very name on us as believers and the last thing he wants to see around us is failure. It is a settled matter in my heart that I will be a huge success because I have his name on me and he won’t want his reputation soiled.

Psalms 31:3 “For thou [art] my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.”

I know God will lead me and guide me so that the world will not make jest of him. He won’t allow me fail for His reputation sake.

Isaiah 48:11 “For mine own sake, [even] for mine own sake, will I do [it]: for how should [my name] be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.”

To be continued.
