Psalms 23: The making-2

Psalms 23: The making-2

Psalms 23:2 “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.”

…From yesterday…

When it comes to the Shepherd making you, pains will be involved because it always involves rigorous training and processing which is often inconveniencing.

It is this discomfort that makes many people run away from the process of making. Friend, until you learn to embrace the discomfort of training, making becomes impossible.

Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Jesus is God but when he came he had to endure the discomfort of making. He didn’t just jump and obtain a name that is above all names, he submitted himself to the process of making. Every great man and woman submit themselves to training before they were made.

The process of making often involves the wilderness experience. The Israelites had to travel through the harsh conditions of the wilderness for forty years. Not because God was wicked but because they must be made!

By the time they got to the promised land they were ready made for their enthronement.

Moses had to do same. One day he jumped out of the palace and suddenly saw an Egyptian maltreating an Israelite. He knew he was a deliverer and the passion was strong. So he quickly attacked the Egyptian guy and killed him in the process.

I guess his plan was to start killing the Egyptians one by one and when he is through his people will be free. What a plan!

That is how an unprocessed man reasons. He had the most ridiculous plan ever. But guess what? God took hold of him, led him to the desert for forty years where he was properly groomed and made.

To be continued…
