Why do men sleep? -2

Matthew 13:25 “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.”

…From yesterday…

When we are tired, we are vulnerable and the enemy is always waiting for this moment to offer us an irresistible deal. Esau was tired and he went for the devil’s alternate “source of energy”, how sad!

At that moment in Esau’s life he made a bad error in judgement and never recovered from it. He lost his birthright and truncated his destiny.

The problem was not Rebecca and Jacob conspiring to collect the blessing of Esau when Isaac was old. Esau had already lost it when he slept off.

Beloved, watch what you do when you have worked hard on the field of destiny and become tired. God knew this would happen so He prepared us ahead of time:

Isaiah 40:29 “He giveth power to the faint; and to [them that have] no might he increaseth strength.”

Isaiah 40:30 “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:”

Any time you get tired remember this:

Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.”

Relax and wait for God’s diet. Don’t go eating from the enemy’s table. God says “Wait”, He won’t come late, He is always on time. He will come through for you at the moment you need Him most. He knows the right and balanced diet for you.

Prayerful wait for him; go to church, listen to good sermons, study the word. As a pastor or Evangelist, have a good source where you refuel.

Listen to edifying songs, sing and read Psalms, talk to a spiritual authority over you. Withdraw to give attention to studying and meditating. Those are few ways by which you gain back your energy and sustain your momentum.

To be continued…

Love you BiG
