4. The devil always sow tares among the wheat: “…his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat,”

The Bible says the enemy sowed tares among the wheat, “Why did he sow tares?” That’s one question that took me time to figure out until the Holy Spirit eventually bail me out. 

It will interest you to know that tares are an exact replica of the wheat seed, as a matter of fact when they begin to grow, the young tare plant and the wheat plant are so similar that it is almost impossible to separate them. It will take a very experienced farmer to make a distinction.

Matthew 13:25 “But while he was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed also darnel (weeds resembling wheat) among the wheat, and went on his way.” (AMP)

Now, that’s where the challenge is, “similarity!”

The devil is so smart that he uses the law of similarity to confuse us. Beloved, the principle is this, give them alternatives. I am sure many of us have seen counterfeit products  and imitations before.

I have seen imitation of various products and even seen somebody mimicking another. They look so much alike that you can’t distinguish one from the other.

Friend, many times the fake might even look superior to the original. The alternate looking, tasting and even smelling better  than the main thing, making it difficult for us to establish a dichotomy between the two. 

The devil is a master at deception and has used this trickery to sweep even the very elects away. We must know that the fake exists because there is an original. We must never fall prey to the enemy. 

God can prosper a man and the devil can give men finances too. God heals and the devil “heals too”, however fake, that’s why we have a lot of fake prophets and pastors in town now.
