The four lepers: Miracles outside the gate-1

The four lepers: Miracles outside the gate-1

2 Kings 7:8 “And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid [it]; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence [also], and went and hid [it].”

2 Kings 7:9 “Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day [is] a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.”

These four lepers eventually went on to become wealthy and powerful. They had abundance of everything that can make life comfortable for a man.

They however refused to enjoy it alone, they decided to go into the city and announced the good news to the king and the entire nation.

These folks were pushed outside the gate by the same king and the laws of the land. I thought they will stone them to death but alas that was not the case. They welcomed them with open arms and the whole nation end up getting librated from poverty and famine.

How do I mean? These community pushed those lepers outside the gate because of their condition, they had concluded that nothing good can come out of their lives and destinies. They don’t even care if they survived or die. They had concluded that they are no longer relevant in the affairs of life.

They felt nothing good can ever come from those “common lepers” ever again.

Beloved, I have news for you; your own miracle could just be outside your gate as well. What gifts, talents, ideas have you abandoned and termed useless? Your own could even be a friend you feel is useless and can never amount to anything.

To be continued…

Love you BiG
