The four lepers: Be daring-1

The four lepers: Be daring-1

2 Kings 7:4 “If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine [is] in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.”

The world belongs to people who are ready to dare the impossible. Every one who has done something significant made a dare at one time or the other.

To dare means; To defy or challenge, to have enough courage to meet or do something or go somewhere. It means to face up to something.

Courage doesn’t mean the absence of fear but rather to act despite fear. As a matter of fact nobody will say you’re courageous if there was nothing to scare the living daylight out of you.

These four lepers were already confronting death from famine almost on daily basis and it seems all hope is lost so they made up their minds to confront their “greatest fear” which happened to be death by facing up to the host of the Syrians.

I have since discovered that most times certain things happen in our lives to push us to a position where we can become daring and face up to our fears.

Friend, that issue you’ve been confronting is not because God is silent or helpless, it is simply because He wants you pushed to a position where you can be daring enough to rise up and confront your fears.

He gave you that great vision because He want you to move and take bold steps. Beloved, God will not move if you don’t take steps. Christianity is a faith walk:

Habakkuk 2:4  “…but the just shall live by his faith”

Hebrews 10:38 “Now the just shall live by faith…”

This was repeated in Galatians 3:11 and Romans 1:17, making a total of four times and four is the number of man. We are called to a life of faith and faith means daring.

To be continued…
