​A visit to the Ants-12

Proverbs 6:6 “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:”

Proverbs 6:6 “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise!” (NLT)

As we roundup this meditation I will like us to consider yet another quality of the ant, I call this a conqueror spirit.

Ants never ever give up! If a soldier or worker ant bites a thing or a man, you might have to kill it for it to loose the grip. Once it holds something, it holds it to the death.

If an ant comes across a food item, it will not rest until it gets it too the nest. If you place an obstacle in the way of an ant, it always finds a way round it. You simply cannot dissuade the ant from it’s assignment. 

The ant has a conquerors spirit. This ability is similar to persistence. The ant has a winning mentality. It’s either it wins or dies, that’s how committed an ant is to a cause.

I love this widow’s story:

Luke 18:2 “Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:”

Luke 18:3 “And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.”

Luke 18:4 “And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;”

Luke 18:5 “Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.”

The woman has a conqueror sprit, she got justice from an unjust  judge because of this singular quality. The problem of many belivers is that we give up too easily. Friend, that must stop.

Hear this:

Revelation 2:3 I” know your persistence, your courage in my cause, that you never wear out.” (MSG)

Friend, we must never give up so easily in the face of obstacles. There are many obstacles in life that have to be overcomed. 

Glean this wisdom from the ant and you will always win!
