A visit to the Ants-6
Proverbs 6:6 “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:”
An African proverb says, “If you want to go fast, travel alone but if you want to go far, go together”.
Teamwork is the key to great achievements. The ants unlike humans have long discovered the principle of teamwork and utilise it for the benefit of each other.
If an ant leaves the colony in search of food, it leaves what is called a pheromone trail. The pheromone is a special scent that can guide the other ants along the same path.
Once an ant, usually a worker called the scout ant leaves the nest in search of food, it wanders randomly until it discovers something edible. It will consume some of the food and then return to the nest
Along the return route, the scout ant leaves a trail of pheromones, this special scent will guide her nestmates to the food. The foraging ants then follow her path, each one adding more scent to the trail to reinforce it for others.
The workers will continue walking back and forth along the line until everyone has eaten and the food source becomes depleted.
Friend, that’s another great lesson to glean from the ants. They kill every form of selfishness and considers each other. If a man discovers a food source the natural thing he does is to cover the trail so that no other person can locate it.
You see a man make an outstanding discovery that benefits him and he tries to dissuad others from that path. He want to be the only champion while others starve.
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Jesus is our trail blazer and has shown us the way the Father. The word Father means Source. So Christ came to lead us to God his own Source.
Beloved, you owe the world a duty to lead others to the Source as well. Lead men back to God and also share with men some of the experiences that has benefitted you in life and destiny.
