A visit to the Ants-4
A visit to the Ants-4
Proverbs 6:6 “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:”
Proverbs 6:6 “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise!” (NLT)
…From yesterday…
Another lesson to learn from the ant is that they are daily driven by vision and purpose. They made sure they have long, medium and short term visions, goals and objectives.
Proverbs 6:8 “Provideth her meat in the summer, [and] gathereth her food in the harvest.”
Purpose is what shapes everything each ant does. They are so purpose driven that you won’t catch them doing in the summer what they should be doing in the winter. You can’t dissuade an ant from his purpose.
You can try it. Just look for an ant that is going somewhere and then place an object on its path. The ant will look for a way round it, climb it or bite through!
That’s what I call die hard commitment. Friend, how committed are you to your God given assignment? Do you even know your purpose?
If an ants sole job or purpose is to find food for the entire colony all year, he commits all his time, energy, intelligence and focus to the assignment all year round, if it’s to guide the colony as a soldier he won’t do any other thing until it drops dead.
You simply can’t break an ants focus!
Friend, glean a lesson from the ant. Have a purpose and refuse to be dissuaded from it no matter what. The reason why most people seems not to be making progress in life and destiny is broken focus.
Jesus said:
Matthew 6:22 “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.”
Singleness of purpose is what makes a man successful. Let your eyes be single all the time.
Refuse distractions from friends, colleagues, TV, social media, phones and somebody else’s assignment. That your “little” assignment can become great if you refuse to be distracted.
