A visit to the Ants-3

Proverbs 6:6 “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:”

Proverbs 6:6 “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise!” (NLT)

…From yesterday…

God did His own work by providing all we need in nature. He expects us to bend our backs and produce bed and furniture from trees. Fruits from the seed and land He has provided. This Kingdom is not for lazy fools.

2 Thessalonians 3:12 “This must not be tolerated. We command them to get to work immediately–no excuses, no arguments–and earn their own keep.” (MSG)

There is a specie of ants called the “Fungus farming ant”. It is believed these ants began their agricultural ventures long before man.

Amazingly, these ants used sophisticated horticultural techniques to enhance their crop yields. They secrete chemicals with antibiotic properties to inhibit mold growth, and devised fertilization protocols using manure.

If ants that you and I claim have little or no brains can farm and produce fertiliser, we have no excuse in the economy of nature.

An Ant works so hard and have developed itself to lift loads 20-50 times its own body weight. It means if we developed ourselves like them, a 15 year old boy should be able to pick up a car and put it on his head!

Well, I am not saying you should do that but then stop complaining of tiredness each time you are asked to work. Hard work works!

Another interesting lesson about the work ethics of the ant is that they work under minimal supervision. Solomon went further and said:

Proverbs 6:7 “Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,”

Proverbs 6:8 “Provideth her meat in the summer, [and] gathereth her food in the harvest.”

Ants are self starters, they motivate themselves personally. They know their assignments and set about it. Nobody reminds them to do the needful!

To be continued…
