Destroy the altar and grove-3
Judges 6: 25 “And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:”
Now I know you have a clear picture of what I am talking about.
Matthew 7:3 “And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?”
Matthew 7:5 “Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” (NKJV)
Beloved, don’t be hypocritical, set a standard and obey it. God doesn’t disobey His own laws and principles. That’s why Jesus said:
Luke 11:17 “…Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation and a house divided against a house falleth”
Luke 11:18 “If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.”
Friend, let the light of Christ shine through you so that others can come to Christ as well. You may be the only bible others will ever read and I think it should be worth reading!
The third reason is this: We must make peace with God, before we make war on Midian. Don’t stand in the place of warfare with soiled hands. Don’t let the enemy have a hold on you.
2Corinthians 10:6 “And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled”
God wants you to operate from a place of obedience, so that you can be qualified to punish all disobedience. Don’t go into warfare when you are not sure of your own stand. That will be a risky venture.
Don’t get injured in warfare like the seven sons of Sceva (Acts 19:14-16). Operate from a position of authority and wisdom.
The devil will never get the best of you again! AMEN.
