Lame excuses-3
Lame excuses-3
Judges 6: 15 “And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”
…From yesterday…
Who told you your qualifications will not make you fulfil God’s divine assignment?
Is education good? Exceptionally good but it shouldn’t deter you from becoming successful. Read and study hard but much more trust in the God who gave the assignment.
God sure knows what you are capable of doing much more than any man. The main issue with Gideon was that he disqualified himself. This is the bane of several people today, self-disqualification.
Unfortunately we all do it every blessed day. Friend, if God calls you, trust Him to help you.
When you hear yourself saying, “I might fail”, that should tell you the devil is throwing the excuse of anxiety and laziness against you.
If you hear yourself saying, “It’s too big”, that shows lack of faith in the Almightiness of God, and laziness on your own part.
If you hear yourself saying, “The devil and demons can stop you”, then you lack an understanding of your new creation realities and the authority you have in Christ.
If your own excuse is, “It will take a long time”, that shows an impatient and lazy spirit.
God hate excuses. How can He send you on assignment and you give him reasons why it will not work? Can you be smarter and more knowledgeable than Him?
I love what King Solomon said:
Proverbs 22:13 “Don’t be so lazy that you say, “If I go to work, a lion will eat me!” (CEV)
Beloved, most lame excuses are traceable to laziness and timidity. God gave David a sheepfold to shepherd and a lion and a bear came.
David didn’t use them as an excuse to run and abandon the assignment; he simply went after the lion and the bear. He killed them and rescued his “assignment” (the lamb)!
Friend, if you go to work and a lion comes at you, kill it!
Love you BiG
