​As one man -1

Judges 6: 14 “And the LORD looked upon him, and said Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?”

Judges 6:16 “And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites AS ONE MAN.”

This piece is a sequel to “It’s in you”. After God told Gideon to go in this his might, he made yet another stunning statement. He said, “…thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.”

The Midianites were a strong force with powerful allies. They were a powerful military force as of then but God commissioned Gideon to go smite them as one man!

One man against an entire army? That is ludicrous! Indeed a suicide mission. Why would God say that?

God said it because He knows what He has invested in Gideon and also because he knows this battle was custom made for Gideon. 

My father in the Lord always say we have two types of battles, the “I battle” and the “We” battle. The truth is this, there is an “I” battle for every man. We all have a custom made battle designed to lead us to our throne. 

There is a battle your parents, mentor, pastor or loved ones cannot fight for you. This type of battle is tailor made for each and every one of us. Nobody can fight it for us; it was specifically designed for our promotion.

Gideon eventually confronted the Moabites and he ended up a great and well respected man in Israel. 

Goliath was a tailor made problem for David. Remove Goliath from the life of David and you have a frustrated shepherd boy in danger of lions and bears.

The cross was tailor made for Jesus. Remove the cross from the life of Jesus and we remove the word Saviour from his name.

The children of Anak were tailor made for Caleb.
