It’s in You-1
Judges 6: 14 “And the LORD looked upon him, and said Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?”
Judges 6:16 “And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.”
In our focal scripture, God made another stunning statement to Gideon. He said, “…Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites…and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man”.
That statement looks so contradictory to Gideon’s present situation. The Gideon God was talking about presently looks weak, timid, discouraged and hopeless, yet God said he should go and save Israel from the Midianites in that current state. What God said looks so impossible.
Naturally, I would have expected God to touch Gideon, empower him, teach him and train him or to probably send a “powerful prophet” in the mold of Elijah or Samuel to him with strict instructions to anoint him, lay hands on him or give him a mantle.
However, God proved bookmakers wrong by simply asking Gideon to go ahead and stop the assault of the Moabites. How do you tell a man that is so weak and scared to go in this “his might”?
The gist is this; the strength needed to confront the Moabites was already given to Gideon from inception. God has prepared him for the challenges that will come up in his life. When he created Gideon he loaded him with all the required virtues to confront and win the battle.
Friend, the same goes for us. God released us into the world at a time we are needed and he doesn’t make mistakes. There may be illegitimate parents but never an illegitimate child. If a man and a woman decided to impregnate each other before marriage, they are the illegitimate folks are not the chil
Every child is legitimate; carefully formed, framed and fashioned.
