​Encampment-1 

Judges 6:4 “And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.”

Encampment is another strategic attack the enemy launches against a believer. 

Encampment is an old war strategy which the enemy uses. In this strategy, the enemy doesn’t come against his target or victim  directly. He simply builds a camp around the victim.

The victim might not even be aware of the encampment on time until it is in most cases too late. This strategy simply prevents things from coming in or out of the victims land. This continues until the victim becomes weak, vulnerable, hungry and eventually surrenders.

Friend, when you see a particular flow cease in your life watch out for an enemy encampment. These flows could be spiritual or physical.

If you normally manifest a particular spiritual gift(s) before and it seems to have ceased you must check yourself. Check your spiritual consecration and intimacy with God. The enemy might have encamped around your prayer and fasting life. Your worship life might be in shambles. You must be on constant watch for these signs.

Whatever is taking your devotion and prayer life is an enemy that is encamping around you. It could be a person, a hobby or even a television program. If it is not enhancing your spirituality it is definitely encamping around you.

Sometimes you might even discover your cash flow is going down due to no apparent cause. It could be an encampment. This was the strategy the devil used against Job.

He encamped around the life of Job, till he lost his resources, children and even friends. All in the hope that Job will curse God and depart from his Maker.

Look at the end result of the encampment against Israel:

Judges 6: 6 “And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.”

The children of Israel became impoverished. The strategy of the enemy is to impoverish the believer.
