Judges 6:2 “And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: [and] because of the Midianites the children of Israel0 made them the dens which [are] in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.”

Judges 6:3 “And [so] it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;”

Friend, don’t have affinity with a contentious man, their end is usually disastrous. They are modern day Midianites who want to prematurely terminate your destiny. Don’t let them invade your life, home, career and business.

Never forget that once you entertain strife, he will get you to Amalek. As we have seen earlier, the word Amalek means “dweller in a valley”. These are folks who are already down. They are people going nowhere. They are already down and out.

Once a Midianite attacks you, the next thing is to take you down. I’ve seen several great men fall to the evil of strife. Men with bright and colourful futures who couldn’t manage strife falls down flat to the demon of the valley.

Valley is a low place. Friend, we don’t belong to the low place, we belong to the high places of the earth. We are believers and our place is “far above”. If there is an area of your life that seems low and down, watch out for a Midian and Amalek invasion. 

The other companion of the Midianite are “the children of the east”. This talks about “old, ancient time and antiquity “. 

Now, understand the progression and strategy of the enemy. He comes in as a Midianite and introduces strife, then brings onboard the Amalek, which takes you down. It removes a man from the place where God has placed him to a valley of frustration and sorrow.

Finally, he brings the children of the east into the game. What will the Eastern children do?
