Half-time -5
Half-time -5
Job 42: 12 “So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.”
…From yesterday…
Daniel 10: 13 “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days…”
Daniel seemed to be losing the match after twenty one days, looking like answers would not be obtained. It looked as if the heavens were closed and God was not hearing. But the angel finally came and gave us a clue to what transpired in the spirit realm.
He told Daniel that his prayers were answered since the day he prayed, but the devil tried to stop the answers from getting to him.
Friend, pray some more. Take time out to fast and pray about that your long awaited miracle once again. The devil simply wants you to abandon the place of prayer and shift your focus away from God the provider and miracle worker, so you will keep your gaze on the problem.
Beloved, don’t give in; remember, “Pray without ceasing” (1Thessalonians 5:17). Don’t you ever throw in the towel. You don’t lose when you fall down; you lose when you stay down and refuse to get up. Wear out the opposition!
Don’t you ever stop praying. Get back on your knees, pray more fervently. Don’t give up on your dreams; your dreams are worth fighting for in the place of prayer. Pray your desires to reality!
Apart from prayers, two other important things can be seen in Job’s “Half-time”. Hear this:
Job 42: 11 “Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and everyone an earring of gold.”
One other ingredient that helped Job in the final half were his acquaintances.
To be continued…
