Half-time -4

Job 42: 12 “So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.”

…From yesterday…

Beloved, I also want you to know that this counsel is not just for the people whose first half has not been fine; it applies to you enjoying an excellent first half match as well.

Note that even if the match is great in the first half and you’re winning, you still have to listen to your coach at half-time, if not you can end up losing as well!

So how do we turn the game around or maintain winning?

Job 42: 10 “And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

Here is the powerful phrase that gives us an idea of how Job’s match was turned around, “when he prayed”.

The verse says categorically that the captivity was turned around WHEN Job prayed. Friend, sorry to disappoint you in case you’re expecting a mysterious nugget different from what you know.

The keyword here is prayer. I know you’ll say but I have been praying and praying yet nothing has happened. I have news for you; PRAY SOME MORE! Hear this:

Daniel 10: 12 “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard and I am come for thy words.”

Daniel 10: 13 “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days…”

Daniel seemed to be losing the match after twenty one days, looking like answers would not be obtained. It looked as if the heavens were closed and God was not hearing. But the angel finally came and gave us a clue to what transpired in the spirit realm.

To be continued…

Love you BiG
