Genesis 25:22 “But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If [all is] well, why [am I] [like] this?|” So she went to inquire of the LORD.” (NKJV)

…From yesterday.

2Corinthians 4:17 “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;”

Now you can understand why Jesus went to the cross, why Joseph was still excited in prison, why David faced Goliath, why Paul and the other disciples couldn’t and didn’t stop preaching despite the several persecutions. 

Now I understand why Moses fasted for forty days, why Joshua kept going till he reached the Promised Land.

Bible scholars said Noah built the ark for about one hundred and twenty years. Now I understand his motivations!

The truth is that once we can see the end product of what we are working on, we will be ready to defy all odds to achieve it. Stregth is supplied to carry on despite the overwhelming opposition and hardship. 

Let us consider three things Rebecca did when she was going through the fights and struggles. 

Genesis 25: 22 “And the children struggled together within her; and she said If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.”

Genesis 25: 23 “And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.”

Genesis 25: 24 “And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled behold, there were twins in her womb.”

Rebecca did three key things from the above scriptures: She enquired of the Lord. She waited to receive an answer and then she waited for the day of delivery.
