SERVICE-4
Breaking the Esau Code
SERVICE-4
Genesis 27:40 “By your sword you shall live, And you shall serve your brother; And it shall come to pass, when you become restless, That you shall break his yoke from your neck.”(NKJV)
…From yesterday…
Jacob, despite the “stealing of the blessings”, had to go and serve Laban before his breakthrough came. Jacob the supplanter served for about twenty one years before he had his break.
I thought he was blessed and would not need to work!
Well, the blessing makes life easy and makes you flourish even in difficult places. But, unfortunately, it does not exempt you from serving.
We are blessed, but the only way to demonstrate the blessing is at the place of service. Hear this from Christ again:
Matthew 20:28 “Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”
As God as Jesus was, he said he came to serve, not to be served! How ironic! He said he came to serve to the death!
David served his father, he went ahead and served Saul before he started serving the nation! Greatness is all about service.
A good leader doesn’t sit down and expect people to be at his beck and call. He stands up, bends his back and serves.
Jesus served the 12, served the 5000, served the multitude and is still doing so today.
Are you serving or waiting to be served?
The largest corporations in the world are great because of the number of clients they are serving. Once you can increase the number of people you serve and the quality of your service delivery, greatness will run after you.
I can hear Isaac talking to Esau as well as to us today, “Do you want to be great, wealthy and powerful? Go serve your brother, sisters, community, state, nation and the world at large, for that is a sure route to the top!”
Now bend your back and SERVE, Selah!
To be continued…
Love you BiG
