God is not Hungry-1
Genesis 22:10 “And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.”
Genesis 22:11 “And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here [am] I.”
Genesis 22:12 “And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son] from me.”
Today’s piece teaches one of the most profound lessons on giving and sowing seeds. If you understand this point you will no longer struggle with seed.
Here is the gist: God is not hungry! Your seed will not add anything to God. Your seed only benefits you! Take it or leave it.
Whenever you have the opportunity to give, know full well that it is all about you. You cannot add to God or reduce him. The whole concept of giving is about faith, obedience and blessings.
When your obedience at the place of giving goes up, God releases his blessings upon you. All he requires from us is faith that he will supply what he has promised, and as soon as he sees faith on the altar of sacrifice he releases our blessings, breakthroughs and harvest.
Giving is an act of faith, and it is only faith that pleases God.
Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Abraham raised up his hand to slaughter his son, but God stopped him at that point, meaning the physical death of Isaac counts for nothing, because Abraham’s obedience showed he had already slaughtered and sacrificed him in the realm of the spirit.
Hear this:
Genesis 22:12 “…for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son] from me.”
Genesis 22:18 “And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”
