SACRIFICING ISAAC
Order in the place of sacrifice-2
Genesis 22:9 “And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.”

Like we have discussed earlier wood represents the word of God. Don’t drop your seed without sending it on an errand. What book, chapter and verse are you basing your giving on? A seed you drop without a word will never yield the required harvest.
You will observe that Abraham didn’t lay the sacrifice directly on the altar, he laid it on the wood that was neatly arranged on the altar.
Friend, wrap your seed around the word of God. There are several scriptures on the reward of sowing, pick them and place your sacrifice on them.
It is only a foolish farmer that will get to a virgin land and scatter his seed and walk away. A wise farmer sows with an expectation of harvest. He knows to achieve success you must carefully prepare the ground and then sow a seed proportionate to the harvest you have in mind.
The law of sowing states that:
2 Corinthians 9:6 “…A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop.”
2 Corinthians 9:7 “I want each of you to TAKE PLENTY of TIME to THINK IT OVER, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.” (MSG)
Take your time to think about your giving on the altar of prayer and worship. God had told Abraham that his decendant will be as numerous as the stars of the sky and the sand by the seashore. The old man knew a seed that will yield that type of harvest must be very precious.
God had an only Son but wanted the whole world so he had to give up that only Son to create a family.
Many people want a bountiful harvest but keeps sowing sparingly.
Beloved, it’s high time you step up the quality of your seed to an ‘Isaac’.
