We'll be back-1

We’ll be back-1
Genesis 22:4 “Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.”
Genesis 22:5″ And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship and come again to you.”
After Abraham and his men had traveled for three days towards the place of destiny, Abraham sighted the place for the sacrifice afar off and he made a bold statement which I want us to consiider. He said:
Genesis 22:5 “…The boy and I are going over there to worship; then we’ll come back to you.” (MSG)
But the question is this, Has he forgotten he was gong to offer Isaac as a sacrifice?
Well, he has not, he might not be able to figure out how God will do it but he sure knows God will somehow give him back Isaac. Either God will raise him from the dead, drop another Isaac from heaven or whatever. One thing he was sure of is that he was coming back with Isaac.
Why was he so sure? He was so sure because of what God had earlier told him:
Genesis 15:3 “And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.”
Genesis 15:4 “And, behold, the word of the LORD [came] unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.”
Genesis 17:7 “And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.”
Abraham knew what God had told him concerning Isaac, his seed and the future project of God and much more, he knew God cannot lie! Therefore he made that bold statement. This is called the law of faith.
Faith simply means taking God at his word, knowing he will not lie, fail or contradict his already spoken word. Man can lie and change his mind but defiantly not God.
To be continued…
