Rise Up Twice-2
Genesis 22:3 “And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up and went unto the place of which God had told him.”
…From yesterday…
The first rising up of Abraham can be likened to mental preparation and awakening, while the second is the physical rising, which led to execution.
The truth is that what you cannot take in your mind, you cannot have in your hand. If your mind can’t take it first, it will always elude you. Hear this:
Genesis 13:14 “And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:”
Genesis 13:15 “For all the land which thou seest to thee will I give it and to thy seed forever.”
Genesis 13:17 “Arise walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.”
We can see this principle playing out here. God told Abraham to “Lift up now thine eyes, and look…” and afterwards, “Arise walk through the land…”
In other words, God told him to arise and possess the land in his mind first and then he should stand up and walk through it physically. If Abraham did not arise in his mind to take possession he would not have the courage to pursue it physically.
No wonder, King Solomon said “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…” Proverbs 23:7a
Your life will always go in the direction of your dominant thought. Abraham knew this, so he made up his mind, and in a matter of time his body followed the direction of his made up mind.
Friend, no matter how daunting the task is, rise up internally; conquer the mountain on your inside first, and it will be removed in the physical.
